Coils & E Liquid Compatibility

RPM Pods

There are two replacement coils for the Alike pods, the RPM40 0.4ohm mesh coils for using the RPM pods which come with the vape kits. You can alternatively use Alike Nord pods, which allow you to use the Nord replacement coils if you prefer. The Nord coils will not work in the RPM pods, and vice versa.

The RPM 0.4ohm mesh coils are designed for sub ohm and direct to lung (DTL) vaping. This means they produce the appearance of bigger clouds of smoke as well as boosted flavours. They are therefore recommended for use with higher VG e liquids. Vapour Days UK offer a wide range of short fill juice brands with flavours to suit all vapers. The recommended VG for these coils is 70%.

Nord Pods

If using the Alike Nord pods, instead of the RPM ones which come with the kit, then you have a choice of 0.6ohm Mesh and 1.4ohms Regular Nord coils. The Regular Nord coils are known as mouth to lung (MTL) in vaping style. This means they are best suited to lower VG e liquids, including the Vapour Days 10ml bottles, the Cherub brand of e liquids and the Vampire Vape flavours. All of these 10ml bottles are included in a multibuy deal of any 3 bottles for only £9.97.

The Nord 0.6ohm mesh coils offer something called restricted direct to lung (RDL) vaping. This means you can choose from a wider variety of e juices, with the Vapour Days UK and Cherub brands extending coil life, and bigger short fills of 70% VG or less for boosted flavours.

Both of the Nord coils are also suitable for nicotine salts, which offer higher nicotine strengths but a smoother vape due to being made from salt nicotine.

Charging

Please note that these SMOK Alike vapors, like most electronic cigarettes on the market, should be charged with a wall plug of 1amp or less in power. Most phone and other plugs are typically higher than 1 amp and therefore will damage the batteries in vape kits.
